Three is a poem written on T-shirts that can be bought at the University of the Philipines (Diliman Campus), the university where I work. In our university, the students are marked 1.0 to 3.0 with 0.25 intervals; 1.0 being the highest and 3.0 being the lowest (4.0 is conditional, and 5.0 is failed).
Most of the freshmen in our university would not want to wear the shirt with the poem until they graduate because they are supposedly cursed (kidding, of course).
The poem is a derivative of Joyce Kilmer’s Tree.
THREE
I think that I shall never see
A grade as lovely as a three
A three that’s earned with blood and sweat
When failing is a serious threat
A three I’ve asked from God all day
Knowing praying is the only way
Exams are taken by fools like me
Bot only god can give a three
